Old Merchant Taylors' Nation The old Sou'westers tie isMerchant Taylors' is an independent boys school located in Hertfordshire. The school was founded by Sir Thomas White, Sir Richard Hilles, Emanuel Lucar and Stephen Hales in 1563 and now caters for 1100 students between the ages of 11 and 18. The school's old boys, called OMTs, include naturalists, poets, academics, politicians, authors, sportsmen, actors and military figures, including 3 winners of the Victoria Cross. The belt is designed on the old
